What Is It About Yourself That Frustrates You?
Inspiration of the Day
“You cannot dream yourself into a character;
you must hammer and forge yourself one.”
Henry David Thoreau
American author, poet, naturalist and philosopher who’s best known book is Walden.
So Now What?
I may be going out on a limb here but I’m guessing that the reason you might be wishing to be like someone else is because you don’t like the way you are. Dare I say, you don’t love yourself?
Ok, that wasn’t that hard to figure out. But if there are aspects of yourself, of your personality, of your character, of your being that disappoint you, that anger you, that frustrate you then you are going to have to do something about it.
This is where the hammer and forge come in.
What is it about yourself that frustrates you? Now are you going to do something about it or just stay frustrated?
What area do you need to work on, health, relationships, communication, getting rid of negative thoughts, general crappy outlook on life?
A caterpillar and a butterfly are vastly different creatures yet they share the same DNA. They are the same being. You can affect this kind of metaphorical transformation in your life.
To start the work of transformation what will you need? Books, workshops, mastermind group, a coach?
Best place to start is with pen and paper. Just write and see what comes up. Write a description of who you want to be. Then place one foot in front of the other. Don’t wait. Do it now.
Remember, it’s your life; it’s your responsibility.
You can do this.
I believe in you.
