The Best Teacher For You
Today’s an inspiration is a double-header:
The first quote:
“The experienced mountain climber is not intimidated by a mountain – he is inspired by it. The persistent winner is not discouraged by a problem – he is challenged by it. Mountains are created to be conquered; adversities are designed to be defeated; problems are sent to be solved. It is better to master one mountain than a thousand foothills.”
William Arthur Ward
author of Miracles I Have Seen, he one of America’s most quoted writers of inspirational maxims.
The second quote:
“It’s one kind of victory to slay a beast, move a mountain, and cross a chasm, but it’s another kind altogether to realize that the beast, the mountain, and the chasm were of your own design.”
Mike Dooley, author of Infinite Possibilities
So Now What?
Putting those two quotes together really made me stop and ponder the wonderfulness of the Universe, hopefully you too. So, is it possible you are your own best teacher?
Sure, we can learn from and even thrive from our “mountains.” But what if we were the ones who set ourselves on the path to conquer those challenges?
Do we know ourselves so well that we already understand the training we need to get to the level we desire in our spiritual and material lives? In the 1980’s movie Karate Kid, Daniel had Mr. Miyagi to teach him “wax-on/wax-off” and “paint the house.” Are we our own Mr. Miyagi?
This certainly gives new perspective to the problems that show up in our lives seemingly out of nowhere. Could the best teacher for you actually be you???
Remember you so have what it takes to conquer your mountains.
You are an unbelievably stunning human being!!!
